The Spirit of the Elks Marching Band consists of over 200 talented 9th - 12th graders. The marching band is the largest organization on campus.
Each spring semester, the Burleson High School Band hosts three full concert bands that rehearse, perform, and compete at competition. The Wind Ensemble, Symphonic Winds, and Concert Winds all have a history of strong performances and competitive success.
For years, the Burleson High School Jazz Band has stood out as a successful and exemplary part of the program. Throughout the year, the band studies the medium of jazz, improvisation, and solo techniques. The group plays at community and school events throughout the year.
The Burleson High School Percussion Program consists of students who are not only committed to being well rounded percussionists, but are in constant pursuit of excellence through music. The front ensemble and battery sections remain active outside of marching season with the Indoor Drumline that rehearses and competes in the winter and spring.
The Color Guard and Winter Guard programs visually interpret music through dance, theatrics, and equipment. Our award winning program received 1st place at NTCA state championships in 2019. Membership in our program is open to all, and previous dance experience is not required.
